Hi everyone! This blog is in desperate need of an update :) So, here is my (Kari) best attempt to update you on the past 4 months:
Kyle received a phone call from a company (one he had interviewed with in June, but unfortunately at that time, didn't receive the open position) in early October. They asked Kyle to come in to meet with them, which he did, and was subsequently offered a job on the spot, after almost a year of being unemployed!
As soon as Kyle was offered the job, we decided that it was time for me to quit my job to spend my days with little Isla Belle. What a blessing and a dream come true! Definitely worth the wait :) Thank you to all our wonderful friends and family who provided us with love, encouragement, and much needed childcare during our challenging year!!! You all are truly priceless.
And just as life seems to go for us, more changes were in store for our family. Soon after Kyle began his job, he was offered another position at a different company. He graciously took this new position, although it meant starting anew...again.
Soon after Kyle began his second new job, we found out that we are expecting our second child!! I am so stinkin excited! There is nothing I love more than taking care of my family, so this is truly a blessing. Every day I stand in awe of what the Lord has done with my life and heart in the last 9 years and I don't think I could ever put into words how thankful I am for His love, mercy, and plan.
And now the update you all really care about, right? ;) Isla is growing so much and is becoming quite the little person. She is now walking a ton, and so proud of herself. She loves to give our dog "kisses" (she does this by sticking out her tongue so Kona can lick it). It grosses me out, but is still sweet. She LOVES animals and is obsessed with dogs. Whenever Isla accompanies me on my runs and she sees a dog, she points and says "woof woof". Her hair is now long enough that I can put it in pigtails, which is so fun for me...not so fun for her :) She is one active toddler and doesn't like to sit still. She is also very driven and gets frustrated when she can't do something. Thankfully though, she has her daddy's sense of humor (maybe from that year they spent together when Kyle taught her so many funny faces) and she is such a goofball. She loves making people laugh and is such a delight.
So...I think that pretty much catches you up on our life for the last several months. I will try to post some newer pictures of Isla soon. I'm still figuring out this whole blogging thing, so bear with me ;)
